Cuba Cola is a soft drink that was launched in 1953 and is thus Sweden's oldest brand of cola (because it was launched three months before Coca-Cola came to Sweden). It tastes a bit sweeter than many other colas and has a stronger cola taste. This makes the cola tastier for the moment, but on the other hand, it doesn't feel as refreshing.


The drink is Swedish and has no connection to Cuba, except that they simply wanted to give the brand a more exotic and international feel.


The recipe for Cuba Cola is owned since 2018 by Spendrups Bryggeri AB, Sweden.


In 2020, Spendrups took over all manufacturing and redesigned the label. At the same time, the sugar-free variant "Zero" was launched.

    Cola Zero Sugar is a sugar free cola (soda/soft drink), that looks and tastes like a regular cola original, but without the sugar.

    Cola Zero is a zero-sugar and zero-calorie cola.


    A can (33 cl) of regular cola contains 139 calories and 35 grams of sugar, while a can (33 cl) of Cola Zero contains only 1 calorie and 0 g of sugar.

    The best is, of course, to drink tap water. What you should drink is, of course, only you decide and depends on how your diet looks in general.

If you like Light/Zero, it's an even better option than regular Cola, based on the current state of knowledge. If your consumption is low, it doesn't make a big difference if you choose between regular (original) and the Zero-variant.
