Coca-Cola celebrates community in its first Swedish commercial

Today, Coca-Cola is launching for the first time ever a Swedish-produced commercial to engage the Swedes and celebrate a Sweden that stands for community. Coca-Cola conveys the message "Everything we share unites us" in a nationwide advertising campaign during the autumn.


With the advertising campaign "Everything we share unites us", Coca-Cola wants to show what happens when people of different generations and subcultures meet. Coca-Cola has existed in Sweden since 1953 and in the film historical events are made where groups that seem to be different meet and unite. From the 60s' clear differences between hippies and established society to the 80s' more musical subgroups such as hard rockers and synthesizers, up to today's youth culture staged at the local pizzeria.


- With our campaign, we want to reach out with the message that we Swedes are perhaps more similar to each other than we think. We want to celebrate a Sweden that is inclusive and where people find ways to meet. With local relevance, we typically reflect Swedish subcultures from the 60s until today and how Coca-Cola has been part of that community, says Olivia Enquist, marketing director at Coca-Cola AB.


Coca-Cola has a long history of promoting its values of community and inclusion in its marketing. Civil rights, Pride weeks and various religious holidays are some of the many commitments that the company and its brands activate.


This summer, Coca-Cola appeared through its local partnership with the Swedish Football Association when selected national team players appeared on specially produced 33cl cans and with an activation where all Swedes can support their home club. The new Swedish-produced campaign, which will be launched on September 10, is yet another step for Coca-Cola in Sweden to strengthen its local relevance through its communication.


The campaign is developed and produced together with Jung Relations and Carat.
